Riccardo La Magna is a civil engineer and Full Professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where he leads the Design of Structures (DoS) group. He earned his doctorate summa cum laude from ITKE at the University of Stuttgart, focusing on flexurally active structures, shells, and numerical simulation. His research bridges computational methods and digital tools with architectural engineering, leveraging custom scripting, FEA, and robotic fabrication for innovative structural systems. He is also a Senior Associate at Jan Knippers Ingenieure.
