Paul Shepherd is a Professor of Computational Design at the University of Bath and a Chartered Mathematician, Scientist, and Engineer. Previously leading the Complex Geometry and High-End Analysis group (SMART) at BuroHappold, his multidisciplinary research utilizes computer simulation and optimization to improve built environment performance. His work covers structural geometry to reduce embodied carbon, automated manufacturing systems (including robotics and 3D printing), and Digital Twins for assessing in-use building performance.
